Christmas Cards

Objectives:  Students will research various types of greeting cards, by comparison and contrast.  Students will examine the career of designing greeting cards.  Students will demonstrate an understanding of the significance of greeting cards in this prevailing age of information.  Students will demonstrate their own artistic abilities in creating their own original Christmas card design.

Steps:

1.  Draw a Christmas illustration on an 8x12 sheet of paper.

2.  Fold the paper in half, so that the main part of your illustration is on the front of the fold.

3.  Add color, glitter, construction paper, etc. to your card design.

4.  Write a generic Christmas greeting on the inside of the card.
