Radial Balance design
Objective: To consider and apply the principle of radial balance, by which elements emerge from a center point.
Steps:
1. Cut off a 3x3 foot piece of white craft paper.
2. Fold the paper horizontally, in half; then fold it again vertically so that it divided into four equal sqaures.
3. On one of the sections, draw a design that radiates from the center fold.
4. Unfold the paper once and trace the design onto the adjoining section.
5. Then trace the entire design onto the remaining two sections.
6. With the medium of your choice, color each of the four sections the same way.
7. When you open up your paper all the way, you will have a radial design.
