Objective: To observe and translate how color affects landscapes during different times of the year.
Steps:
1. Find a half to full page picture of a landscape setting in a magazine or from a photograph you have taken in the past. The picture should be photographic as opposed to an illustration, and it should be void of any people, buildings, and other material objects.
2. Draw the picture onto half of a 12x18 sheet of drawing paper.
3. Using a light table, trace the same picture on the other half of the paper.
4. Trace the entire picture on another sheet of drawing paper, so that you have four scenes exactly alike.
5. With the medium of your choice, apply color to each picture to indicate the four seasons of the year.
6. In order to make your illustrations original, add the tree you drew from the tree exercise into your pictures somehow.
